Fencing Warranties Explained: What you get with our Lifetime Warranty!

Ever bought something brand new, only to have it break on the first use? A power drill overheats, shoes fall apart, or a new gadget glitches out. In the automotive industry, what you might call a lemon.

Well, that’s why we Have Warranties!

But do you really need a warranty for your fence? What does it even do for you? What does our lifetime limited Warranty even mean?

What is a Fencing Warranty?

A fencing warranty is essentially a promise from the manufacturer that your fence does not have any manufacturing defects. It’s our way of standing by the quality of our products.

Our fencing warranty basically says that if your fence has problems from manufacturing defects (not caused by accidents or misuse), we will repair or replace the parts. We will do so in accordance with the terms of the warranty. The next logical question is, what are the terms of the warranty?

What are the Terms of our Lifetime Limited Warranty?

Let’s break it down. Lifetime Limited Warranty means everything you purchase from us is covered by our warranty for its lifetime. However, it is limited to the original purchaser.

So if you bought aluminum fencing and put it up around your house, you’re protected from any problems caused on our end. However, if you sell your house, the new owner will not have access to the warranty. They did not purchase our products. And if there are any manufacturing defects, you would probably notice them by the time you sell your house.

Remember, we said everything purchased from us, fence panels, posts, gates, etc. But it does not cover something like custom gates or gates from another manufacturer. Some people like to customize their gate, but we don’t know where you’re getting that gate from. So, we can’t back it up with our warranty. If you get equipment from a different manufacturer, check their specific warranty.

What about Workmanship?

Workmanship refers to the work we do outside of manufacturing. This mainly refers to the powder coating we spray on our fencing for extra protection. We promise that our coating will not crack, chip, or peel for as long as you own your home.

What about gate workmanship? Gate workmanship mainly covers welds, which are warranted for a period of two years.

What’s Not Covered in a Fencing Warranty?

  • Labor: Most warranties do not cover labor, only materials. So if there is a problem, we’ll pay for the replacement part, but not the labor needed to make those repairs.
  • Damage from misuse: Basically, if you try to use aluminum fencing for something it wasn’t designed for, we won’t cover that. It’s a fence, if you try to make a treehouse, it’s obviously not going to work out. That may seem strange and self-evident, but you’d be surprised.
  • Damage from Accidents: warranties do not cover accidents, vandalism, or severe weather. That’s what insurance is for. Our fences are pretty tough and can handle their share of weather. This also includes improper installation. For more information on proper installation, read our installation guide.

What are the Benefits of a Fencing Warranty?

  • Peace of Mind: You know your investment is protected against manufacturing defects.
  • Quality Assurance: We stand behind our products. We’re putting our money where our mouth is.

Why Activate Your Fencing Warranty?

Admittedly, commercial property managers are more likely to activate their fencing warranty than homeowners. They have more property to protect. And the more products you buy, the higher the chances of a defect.

Again, as a homeowner, you’ll still get peace of mind by activating your warranty.

How Do You Activate the Warranty?

This is really easy. Once you’ve made your purchase, contact us to get a warranty form. Fill it out, and send it back with proof of purchase. This will be your sales invoice. Send it back within 30 days of receiving your fence, and you’re protected!
